I know I haven't posted much lately - too much going on.
But I *am* making things in preparation for a couple of Christmas craft fayres (which I'm booking today).
Here's one of those things. It's a shallow oak ring box with the dot-dot-dot pyrography that I find strangely therapeutic to do, despite the smoke in my eyes.

Fun fact: The oak for this box came from my own early 1800s renovation project house. It's a small section of black-painted beam from the dining room ceiling, which was nailed up there donkey's years ago to make it look fancy... which it doesn't.
There are 15 such fake beams - and this is from the first one, so expect more shallow creations!

Finding a little time to work on a sequoia fruit bowl as a Christmas present for my aunt. Lovely grain in this one, and pretty pink shavings which are lethal on this gloss painted floor.
Snowmen and trees are on the menu this coming week.

In the unlikely event that anyone has emailed info@woodsmithery.co.uk lately... I... erm... *shuffles feet, looks at floor*... kind of... well, let's put it this way - a full glass of G&T threw itself at my laptop on Saturday and now it won't start.
So a) I'll reply when I can but you can always send me some words via FB, and b) I promise never to waste gin in such an expensive manner again 😐
